Subject: Is Nwarakalawiye Chief Sanga nayaka Sleeping?
There are no words to explain about the sympathy and
great sorrow I felt about the future about Buddhim in
SriLanka when I heared about the secretly building
mosque near the Dakkina Stupa.
Actually this is completely our fault because most of our
responsible government officers in Archeological dept.and
other gouvernment offices are not doing there dututies
properly and they are bribed and corrupted and polluted by
trivial alms and they have no any attitude about the future
of our heritage.
Morever what is the service done or doing by so called
Nuwarakalawiye Chief incumbent and Atamastanadipati?
These ceremonial nayakatheros are not doing anything
but nourishing there famillies, and using hugely accumulated
money for their own welfare ,donated by innocent adherents.
Actullly if these sanga nayaka theros are so
vigilant and active this type of nonesense would not have
occured.
Many thanks to Rivira for
revealing this to the nation!

Article on Rivira Gaveshana
Dear Chandana,
This is about your article ON Rivira about the drug
companies and please take this as a constructive
critisim.Firstly it is a very important topic you
discussed but the bulk of your attack was wrongly
directed at the very group who are trained to protect
and act in the best interest of the patients. The other
groups which play more crucial role in this matter and
who have no moral or ethical obligation
was forgotten conviniently by you, may be because it's
not news worthy. What about politicians including the
minister and the parliament who have to provide the
legislative framework to stop this? What about
the pharmacists who issue the most expensive brand at
there will when doctors write the generic name instead
of brand name?
I don't deny there are doctors, specialist who take all
the perks from drug companies and do as you have
mentioned.I will highlight some of the issues in your
article
Sri Lanka has permitted to import more than 100 brands
of a one drug(e.g.Amoxicillin) where as countries like
US has restricted to only few brands. When this much
comes it's impossible to do quality testing of all and
inferior quality products come to market. When doctor
write a prescription in generic name of a drug since our
patients are not aware of the details of drugs they will
ask for the cheapest brand or take what
pharmacist recommend as the best brand. Cheapest drug
may be a very low quality one and may aggravate the
condition causing more expenses to patient. The
pharmacist are easily manipulated rather than doctors by
drug companies as they don't have the training and a
responsibility towards patient like
doctors. So prescribing some time tested slightly
expensive brands are preffed by some doctors as in the
final result it will heal the disease as expected
without additional expenses.
As the Minster rather than
showing displeasure he should take action after
discussing this with the experts to correct the legal
framework to regularize this.But As
a intelligent individual you may know Any Govt would not
take such decisions considering enormous amonut of money
involve n this trade and some other issues as you can
imagine.Second part to this is you may well know for
govt imported low quality thyroxine which was proven and
withdrawn from the market some time back.So those who
were responsible were punished?Doctors knew thyroxine
were not working when the patients were not responding
and it took so much time for the govt to admit it like
the pertrol issue.Unlike the engines which stopped with
petrol it was human lives which were compromised.many
low IQ children must have born due to low quality
thyroxine given to the mothers.Petrol issue is under
investigation and some were punished.Thyroxine issue?Did
you ever wondered whether there was a inquiry any I
didn't hear any one was punished for that. When doctors
knew thyroxine was not working it was nothing but right
that they prescribed expensive time tested well known
brands for the best interest of the patient which may
have prevented birth of some low IQ babies. Some may have
accused they for doing that when thyroxine was freely
available in the hospital. So if the Govt is not
committed this is a very difficult issue to settle by
one party.
So when you say the main
tactic is influencing the doctors is wrong because if
govt can limit the number of brands of a drug to well
efficacious reasonable cost drugs doctors have to
select between them.So I think they influence the govt
and ministers first, not to change
the existing policies.(read Prof.Sanaka Bibile Story)
Many doctors including me
consider our primary responsibility is for the
patients. When you say" from minor staff to consultant in
govt hospital are under there net" that is gross insult
to the many of the great doctors who work in these
hospitals tirelessly who had made the health indicies of
this country equal to developed countries but with low
health spending. It the same feeling you should get if I
say All the reporters up to the editors of your news
paper write articles accepting money under someones
net.I think it shows immaturity and lack of awareness
about what is happening to which magnitude.
What you should understand is in this vicious
environment the doctors are the prime group who are
trained to protect and act in the best interest of the
patients.(of course some doesn't do but minority)Your
article sounds majority doesn't and creating a distrust,
making patients deviating from doctors which makes it
very easy for the interested parties to fulfill
their interests by influencing less qualified people.
I believe the article
written with only few facts about a broad sensitive
issue do more damage than not writing it at all. These
are sensitive and delicate issues and though some facts
you mention is true you need broad knowledge and fact
finding to write a article regarding a sensitive issue
like this. It's not easy as a writing a article about
the underworld or prostitution in Colombo.I hope you
take this in good sprite and try to make a correction.
The last sentence you put
in your article to appologise is like shooting a person
5-6 times and telling sorry if you are the wrong person.
Please think about this.

Korea, why is that the article did not contain the times for

Answer:
Dear Madam / Sir,
Thanks for reading our online news editions. We update as usual our
Sunday online paper in every Friday night and after 1.00 a.m. (Friday)
everybody can read latest issue. I think your computer cash memory is
full with old files and please go throuh the following link and you can
read latest issue.
http://www.rivira.lk/2011/04/10/janaindex.htm
As you can see if you cannot get latest issues in future days you can
change above URL's date and if change the month you can change the month
and date and itself.
As a example you can get next weeks issue as follows (after next Friday
night at 1.00 a.m.):
http://www.rivira.lk/2011/04/17/janaindex.htm
If you need to get May 01st issue, you have to change the month and date
as follows:
http://www.rivira.lk/2011/05/01/janaindex.htm
Hope you understand the above process.

Comment - I'm really disappointed abt the article written by
Arthur U Amarasena regading the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
Before making comments abt his child molestation trials Mr
Amarasena must does some research regarding the cases as a
resposible journalist. You are also responsible of publishing
such an article with so many lies in it.
Read the court documents and his aquittels and extortion
attempts on him.
Just find out what kind of humanitarian who he really was. Tell
something about that to the Srilankan fans without assuming
those gossips as facts.
I would like to ask Mr Amarasena to prove what he said about
Michael being a child molester. It's really disgusting.
Rivira is a paper I respect. Please don't go down as another
taboid by publishing such kind of lies about a person who truly
deserve more than that as a global icon.

development project estimated cost Rs.65,000/- ?? (2)
Development of national roads just 28 KM only????? that took Rs
Milian 23000?? (3) Length of Manampitiya Bridge 302 KM??? (4)
Fly over in Kuliyapitiya???
Where fly-over in Kuliyapitiya & for what??

I read your paper online every week. I appreciate the paper and
the quality of it too. I find it really funny to read 'Rasa
Bojun' section, which is in Singglish. Why can't they write some
thing in Sinhala. Also some of the words used might not be
familiar to the general public in Sri Lanka. Like 'Wisk' why
can't it be written in the simple sinhala word (gasaa geneema /
Weegayen Hendi geema).
Hope the paper has a good future.

Comment - The Australian Tamil community is staging a mock Sri
Lankan internment camp in Sydney today.
According to them the mock camps are an attempt to share the
pain and suffering of the 300 000 Tamils detained by force in
Sri Lankan military controlled internment camps.
They claim that the monsoon rains expected to return in a few
weeks will make an already tragic situation for the post-war
victims of Sri Lanka insufferable. Therefore the government of
Sri Lanka need to look in to this matter seriously and take
quick steps to send people in IDP camps to home.
It is hoped that this mock display will enable
Australians to have a glimpse into the camps conditions, fear
and pain of the inmates and the meager rations provided for
survival.
According to our sources The protest is happening in Silver
Park, Sydney.
